Dave is a Senior Financial Planner and joined the Archway team in September 2014. He is our resident spreadsheet whizz as well as having many years of experience as a wealth adviser. Dave enjoys looking at his client’s overall goals and aiming to help them achieve them earlier than they thought possible.
We all enjoy Dave’s updates on the football matches he’s been to, but if it’s just women in the office the radio is sometimes turned up a little louder.
In Dave’s own words…
What did you do before joining Archway?
I joined Gresham Life in 1983 and advised my first client on 6th March 1987 as we watched the Zeebrugge ferry disaster unfold on TV together. I qualified in 1990 and became an IFA in 1992 with David Sheppeard (L&P), achieving Chartered status a few years later. I moved to Burgess & Lee in 2003 where I was a director for 10 years before moving to Archway in 2014.
What do you enjoy about working here?
I love working with a great team who support each other and genuinely put our client’s interests above all else. Archway gives me the freedom to develop new and exciting methods to make a real difference to my clients’ financial wellbeing and to bring clarity to their pre and post retirement planning, which has been described as ‘life changing’.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Football, holidays and football holidays! Having avidly followed AFC Bournemouth home and away for 30 years through the good and the bad times (mainly bad), we now find ourselves being watched in 600 million homes in 200+ countries worldwide since promotion to the Premier League this year. My wife & I also follow the England team around the world and have watched them play in far flung destinations such as Trinidad, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, San Marino and our honeymoon was the South Africa World Cup.
